As an extreme endurance sport that combines swimming, cycling, and running, triathlon has extremely high requirements for equipment in every link. Among them, the cycling part is the longest stage, and the choice of wheels has a crucial impact on the competition results. Therefore, we launched a triathlon five-blade wheelset called S-ALL Carbon EVO TRI Aero Race Wheelset in January.
Unlike ordinary road bicycle wheelsets, triathlon wheelsets are designed to focus more on aerodynamic performance, weight optimization, and rigidity performance to help athletes maintain high speed and reduce energy consumption during long-distance riding.
Our new product S-ALL Carbon EVO TRI is a 47mm deep wheel. It is based on the triathlon wheelset we developed previously and uses ceramic bearings to reduce rolling resistance. It also has a full carbon rim with a teardrop pattern to achieve aerodynamics and stability in crosswinds. The unique teardrop-shaped pattern design, inspired by the wings of peregrine falcons, can reduce wind resistance and make airflow pass more smoothly.
According to our measurements, a pair of wheels weighs only 1520g, which requires less force for riders to start and accelerate, allowing them to reach their target speed faster, and effectively reducing consumption, helping riders maintain a better rhythm.
It is worth mentioning that the hub of this wheelset is a 36T planetary ratchet structure. The 36-tooth ratchet structure can provide more contact points, thereby enhancing the load-bearing capacity of the hub. More teeth means a larger contact area between gears, providing a smoother riding experience and ensuring your safety. It can improve power transmission efficiency and speed up the start-up speed.
