Cleaning and maintenance of road bikes

Superteam-Cleaning and maintenance of road bikes
Today, Superteam will teach you how to clean and maintain road bikes. With daily use, the bike is easily stained with mud and sand, including the transmission and brake parts. At this time, it needs to be cleaned and maintained. We will break it down into several steps.

1. Step 1: Take off some accessories on the bike, including the meter, headlight, taillight, and kettle, which will have sand on them.

2. Step 2: Use a water gun to rinse the entire body from top to bottom, and rinse off the mud and sand that are easy to rinse off first, otherwise it is easy to scratch the paint when wiping the bike.

3. Step 3: Take out the chain cleaner and spray a layer of foam on the flywheel chain and disc. If you are worried that the oil on the flywheel will splash onto the disc, you can spray a layer of foam on the disc first, so that the disc will not be splashed with oil. After spraying, you need to wait for two to five minutes before you can use water to rinse off the oil. Some stubborn oil stains will adhere to the chain and flywheel. We spray a layer of foam on the chain, flywheel, disc, and tooth plate, and use the small brush or chain brush we prepared to wash them. Use water to rinse off the oil stains again, and the chain cleaning is complete.

4. Step 4: Take out the body cleaner and spray a layer of foam on the entire body, including the frame, handlebars, wheels, front inserts, and seats. You can also spray a layer on the flywheel and disc without waiting for it to dilute. Just wipe the entire car with a sponge. After wiping, rinse the entire car with a water gun.

5. Step 5: Use a rag to simply wipe off the water on the car body. Do you think it's over here? That's wrong. Some small parts will still rust. Use an air gun to blow dry the flywheel, chain, tooth plate, and other accessories with screws, and blow off all the water. Follow this step to wash the car, and there will be no oil stains on it.

6. Step 6: After drying, start to do some minor maintenance on the bike and take out the prepared lubricant. First of all, wet lubricant is suitable for long-distance riding and some rainy roads. It evaporates slowly and keeps longer, but it is easy to get dust. Dry lubricant is the best for some short-distance use. It is not easy to get dust, but it evaporates quickly and needs to be lubricated every 200km or so. Drip evenly on the buckle position on the chain. After dripping, you can switch gears back and forth to lubricate the entire flywheel and the tooth plate. Then we can wipe off the excess oil with a paper towel.

Love your car and protect it. Superteam wishes you all enjoy riding.
